【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoversrequirementsandtestmethodsformaterial(seeAppendixX1)dimensionsandtolerances,hydrostaticburststrength,chemicalresistance,andimpactresistanceofplasticpipe,tubing,andfittingsforuseinfuelgasmainsandservicesfordirectburialandrelinerapplications.Theannexesprovidespecificrequirementsandtestmethodsforeachofthematerialscurrentlyapproved.Ifandwhenadditionalmaterialsareavailable,specificannexrequirementswillbeadded.Thepipeandfittingscoveredbythisspecificationareintendedforuseinthedistributionofnaturalgas.RequirementsforthequalifyingofpolyethylenesystemsforusewithliquefiedpetroleumgasarecoveredinAnnexA1.Thisspecificationdoesnotcoverthreadedpipe.DesignconsiderationsarediscussedinAppendixX2.In-plantqualitycontrolprogramsarespecifiedinAnnexA3andAnnexA4.Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotes,footnotes,andappendixeswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationpurposesonly.Thefollowingisanindexoftheannexesandappendixesinthisspecification:1.5Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section6,ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
