【摘要】:Staticcompressionandbendingtestsprovidedatathatareusedtoestimatestiffness,strength,andsafeworkingloadsforpalletsunderspecifiedloadandsupportconditions.Theseestimatesprovideabasisfordesigningpalletsandcomparingtheperformancebetweenpalletsofdifferentdesignsandconstructions.Dynamictestsprovidedatawhichareusedtoestimatethephysicaldurabilityandfunctionalityofapalletinspecifiedmaterialhandlingandshippingenvironments.Theseestimatesprovideabasisfordesigningsingleormultiple-usepallets.Othertestsmaybeperformedtoassessthepropertiesofspecificmaterials(TestMethodsD2395,D4442,D4444,andT208OM)andconnectingdevices(TestMethodsD1761,F680,TestMethodF1575,andSpecificationF1667),designfeatures,useapplications,andothervariablesencountered.1.1Thesetestmethodscovertheperformanceofpalletsandrelatedstructures,functioningasskids,bases,platforms,andbinsinmaterialshandlingandshipping.Theirusefacilitatestheprotectionofbothpackagedandunpackagedproductsduringstorageandtransportation.Thetestmethodsincludemeasurementsoftherelativeresistanceofpalletsandrelatedstructurestodeformations,damages,andstructuralfailureswhichdetrimentallyaffectthefunctionalityoftheunitload.1.2Thesetestmethodsincludeconditioningrequirements,staticstiffnessandstrengthtests,anddynamictestsofstructuralreliability.Thesetestmethodsareusedtoevaluatetherelativeperformanceofnew,used,orreconditionedgeneralandspecial-purposepalletsfabricatedfromvariousmaterialsincludingsolidwood,woodcomposites,fiberboard,honeycomb,plastics,ormetal,ortocomparetheperformanceofsuchpalletsandrelatedstructurestospecifiedperformancecriteria.Recommendedcriteriaforalltestsspecifiedinthisstandardarelistedin.1.2.1Thesetestmethodsarealsousedtoclassifypalletsassingle-ormultiple-usepalletsandtodeterminethesafeworkingloadsforpalletsunderspecifiedloadandsupportconditions.1.3NonmandatoryPreliminaryTestsBecauseeachpalletmaybeusedunderseveraldifferentconditionsofloadandsupport,pallet-designconsiderationsandsafeworking-loadestimatesshallbebasedonthatconditionunderwhichthepalletoffersleastresistanceorismostseverelystressed.1.3.1Preliminary,short-durationstatictestsuptotheultimate(see,,and)shallbeperformedonpreviouslynon-testedpalletstodeterminewhichloadandsupportconditionsinfluencemostseverelythepalletload-carryingcapacityandsafeworkingloads.1.3.2Duringthedevelopmentofprototypesleadingtodesignsthatwillbesubjecttoacceptancetesting,asdescribedin,thesepreliminarytestsshallincludethefree-falldroptestsinaccordancewith.1.4MandatoryAcceptanceTests1.4.1General-PurposePalletsWhentheobjectiveofthetestistodeterminethesafeworkingloadortoclassifyageneral-purposepalletasasingle-ormultiple-usepallet,alltestsdescribedinthesetestmethodsshallbeperformedintheorderspecified.Thesamepalletshallbeusedforallstaticanddynamictests,wherefeasible.1.4.2Special-PurposePalletsWhentheobjectiveofthetestistodeterminethesafeworkingloadortoclassifyaspecial-purposepallet,asasingle-ormultiple-usepallet,onlythosetestsrepresentingtheintendedconditionofuseshallbeperformed.Certainspecial-purposepalletdesigns,becauseofthepalletsize,itsshape,orthematerialoffabrication,orcombinationsthereof,cannotbereliablytestedusingthismethodology.Whenavailable,alternativetestmethodsshouldbe......
