【摘要】:Thistestmethodforyarnnumberissatisfactoryforacceptanceofcommercialshipmentsandisusedinthetrade.5.1.1IncaseofadisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestresultswhenusingthisTestMethodforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipments,thepurchaserandthesuppliershouldeitherusetherefereeTestMethodD1907foryarnnumberorconductcomparativeteststodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweentheirlaboratories.Competentstatisticalassistanceisrecommendedfortheinvestigationofbias.Asaminimum,thetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestspecimensthatareashomogeneousaspossibleandthatarefromalotofmaterialofthetypeinquestion.Thetestspecimensshouldthenberandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.Theaverageresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingappropriatestatisticalanalysisandaprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwopartiesbeforethetestingisbegun.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrectedorthepurchaserandthesuppliermustagreetointerpretfuturetestresultswithconsiderationtotheknownbias.Thistestmethodisalsousedforthequalitycontrolforbothfilamentandspunyarns.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofyarnnumberoffilamentandspunyarnsusingautomatedtesters.Someoftheinstrumentsarestand-aloneandothersareoptionalmodulesforinstrumentsthatperformadditionaltests.1.1.1Theinstrumentsarecapableofmeasuringyarnnumbersupto4000dtex(3600denier).Note1Fordeterminationofyarnnumberbyuseofreelandbalance,refertoTestMethodD1907.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theinch-poundunitsareinparentheses.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultininaccuraciesofresults.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
