【摘要】:Thisguideprovidespotentialandcurrentpavementmanagementuserswithanoutlineoftheprocessandstepstofollowwhenimplementingandoperatingpavementmanagementsystems.Thisguidemaybeusedbythefollowing:4.2.1Individualswithinagenciesinterestedinfindinginformationaboutpavementmanagementtodetermineiftheywanttopursueimplementation;4.2.2Pavementengineers,maintenancesupervisorsorotherpersonstryingtogetagencymanagementpersonneltocommittoimplementingapavementmanagementsystemwithintheiragency;4.2.3Personnelinanagencyinwhichthedecisiontoimplementapavementmanagementsystemhasbeenmadebutwherethepavementmanagementprocesses,pavementmanagementdecisionsupportsoftwareordatacollectionprocedures,orboth,havenotbeenselected;4.2.4Personnelinanagencythatisdevelopingadatabaseandbeginninguseofanewlyadoptedpavementmanagementsystem;and4.2.5Personnelinanagencythathaveapavementmanagementsysteminplaceandaretryingtomakethepavementmanagementprocessaroutinepartoftheagencydecisionmaking.1.1Thisguidecoversbasicprocedurestofollowinimplementinganeffectivepavementmanagementprocess.Pavementmanagementincludesactivitiesanddecisionsrelatedtoprovidingandmaintainingpavements,manyofwhichmustbemadewithsupportinginformationthatshouldbegeneratedfromapavementmanagementsystem(PMS).Implementationisconsideredcompletewhenpavementmanagementisaroutinepartofthemanagementprocess,andtheagencyutilizesthepavementmanagementprocesstomakerelevantdecisions,includingfundingdecisions.1.2Theguideisintendedforusebyagenciesthatmanagepavementsincludingthoseonairfields,highways,parkinglots,roadsandstreets.1.3Pavementmanagement,asdiscussedinthisguide,isexercisedatnetworkandproject-levelasdescribedinGuideE1166,andtheAASHTOGuidelinesforPavementManagementSystems.1.4Noreferenceismadetothetimeneededtocompletetheimplementation.Theamountoftimewilldependonthesizeofthepavementnetworkandtheresourcesavailabletosupportimplementation.1.5Thisguideisnotastandardmethodorpractice,thatis,itisnotintendedtoprovideexactstepsthatmustbefollowedbyeveryagencyimplementingapavementmanagementprocess.Itisexpectedthateachagencywillusethematerialinthisguidetodevelopanimplementationplantomeettheneedsandconstraintsuniquetotheagency.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Thistestmethodcanbeusedtodeterminethelimecontentofuncuredsoil-limemixtures.5.1.1Limecontentinsoil-limemixesisneededbyagenciessuchashighwaydepartments,thathavetodeterminelimecontentinsoil-limeforpaymentstocontractors,tocheckcompliancewithspecifications,ortochecktheefficacyofqualitycontrolmeasures.5.1.2Limecontentisalsoneededbyproducersofsoil-limemixtureswhohavetodeterminelimecontentforproductioncontrolpurposes.Note18212;Notwithstandingthestatementsonprecisionandbiascontainedinthistestmethod:Theprecisionofthistestmethodisdependentonthecompetenceofthepersonnelperformingitandthesuitabilityoftheequipmentandfacilitiesused.AgenciesthatmeetthecriteriaofPracticeD3740aregenerallyconsideredcapableofcompetentandobjectivetesting.UsersofthistestmethodarecautionedthatcompliancewithPracticeD3740doesnotinitselfensurereliabletesting.Reliabletestingdependsonseveralfactors;PracticeD3740providesmeansofevaluatingsomeofthosefactors.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthelimecontentofsoil-limemixturessampledfromaprojectunderconstructionoratthepug-mill,orboth.1.2InsoilswithhighlyvariableamountsofCaCo3(suchascaliche),itmaybedifficulttoobtainarepresentativesample.1.3Thevaluesstatedinmetricunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
