MIL-DTL-53039B, DETAIL SPECIFICATION: COATING, ALIPHATIC POLYURETHANE, SINGLE COMPONENT, CHEMICAL AGENT RESISTANT (08 JUN 2005) [SUPERSEDING MIL-C-53039A]., This specification covers single component, chemical agent resistant, aliphatic polyurethane coating for use as a finish coat on military combat equipment. The coating is lead and hexavalent chromium free and has a maximum of 420 grams/liter (3.5 pounds/gallon) volatile organic compounds for type I and a maximum of 180 grams/liter (1.5 pounds/gallon) volatile organic compounds with zero volatile hazardous air pollutants for type II.

Scope: This specification covers the requirements and recommendations for the heat treatment of aluminum alloy rolled, extruded, forged, drawn, and cast product. It does not cover the requirements for the heat treatment of aluminum alloy parts. Subjects covered are: process establishment and re-establishment: periodic process surveys: periodic product monitoring: furmaces and operation controls: pyrometirc equipment; quenching equipment, media, and operation controls; parameters and procedures for solution heat treatment, quenching, age hardening, and annealing; requirements for inspections and record keeping; test methods; and limits of product acceptability.
